After completing his schooling at Abu Dhabi Indian School (ADIS), Benny pursued higher education at Madras Christian College, completing his B.Com. and Masters in Journalism. In addition to working as an events coordinator at RR Donnelley, Benny is also a member of the band S5, launched by the SS Music TV channel.
As a successful playback singer, Benny has worked in over 19 Indian languages and sung more than 3500 songs. He also made his acting debut with the Malayalam thriller By the People. On June 5, 2016, Benny married model Catherine Thangam in a close-knit ceremony in Bengaluru.
